RALLY SET FOR SUNDAY FEB. 23 AT STATE CAPITOL
Denver, February 20, 2025.
Hundreds of supporters of Ukraine will rally at the State Capitol this weekend to call for leaders in Washington DC to help Ukraine resist Russian aggression.
The rally, set for 12 noon on Sunday, February 23rd, will mark three years since the start of the Putin’s full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine and eleven years since Russia’s forced annexation of Crimea and incursion into Donbas.
“We stand for helping Ukraine and speaking the truth about Russia’s war of aggression,” said Marina Dubrova, President of Ukrainians of Colorado. “Thousands of Coloradans have stood with us throughout this difficult time. It is time to make our voices heard.”
Representatives of Colorado’s Congressional delegation, volunteers who have witnessed the war and members of Colorado’s Ukrainian-American community will speak out on Ukraine’s determination to expel the invading Russians from Ukraine’s sovereign territory.
The Denver rally is part of an international effort intended to call attention to Ukraine’s need for military, humanitarian and political support in the largest land war in Europe since World War II.
Washington DC, New York City, Boston, San Francisco, and hundreds of cities around the world will hold similar rallies over the weekend.
