Here is the letter from the Senators of Colorado:
Dear Ukrainians of Colorado Leadership and members,
On Friday, February 24, 2023, Senator Larry Liston (R-Colorado Springs) and Senator Joann Ginal (D-Ft. Collins) will offer a Joint Resolution to the Colorado State Senate, recognizing and honoring Colorado organizations like yours who are supporting the people of Ukraine during this difficult time.
They would like to include your organization in the tribute, inviting you to sit on the floor of the Senate while they describe your organization, ask you to stand and introduce you to the 35 members of the Senate. The Senate will convene at 9:00 AM that day, with the Resolution presented early in the agenda.
Additional members of your organization are encouraged to attend the event, viewing it from the balcony. The balcony of the Senate seats about 160. I would be pleased to provide any additional information you require.
After the Senate adopts the Resolution, a similar event will take place in the House of Representatives, with two State Representatives presenting it to their 65 House colleagues.
